Game Day Volunteers: Urgent Action Needed
ALL game day volunteers, whether it be timekeeper, water carrier or coach, need to be registered as a volunteer on PlayHQ so the SMJFL can track Working With Children Certificates (WWCC).
We ask that all parents take 5 minutes to register as a volunteer and add your WWC number in PlayHQ using this link: https://www.playhq.com/afl/org/prahran-junior-football-club-smjfl/9c0efe6d/register
SMJFL audits of game day volunteers will commence soon and game day volunteers will be checked against PlayHQ, so we hope to avoid any fines.
For reference, all the roles below are expected to be registered on PlayHQ, with their valid WWCC’s entered in correctly:

-

Congrats to our Favourite Butcher!

In April this year, Tom Bouchier represented Australia at the World Butchers’ Challenge in Paris – an event often called the ‘Olympics of Butchery’. With 14 countries competing, the standard was nothing short of extraordinary, showcasing the very best in global craftsmanship, innovation, and technical skill. France took out the top spot on home soil, followed by Germany, with Australia earning a strong third-place finish. Tom’s involvement was a proud moment for the Peter Bouchier family, reflecting both his personal dedication and our ongoing commitment to excellence in the trade.
Not many clubs can say they are serving this caliber of snag at the footy club on a Friday!! We are very grateful for Peter Boucher’s support as sponsors this season and proud of this achievement. Be sure to congratulate him when next in store!
